   Power Off the Phone

   Press and hold the Power button, then select Power Off. Ensure the device is fully shut down before starting disassembly.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject pin into the hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer around the outer edges of the rear panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear panel. Pull upward gently to create a tiny seam between the cover and the frame.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not insert it deeper than 3 mm to avoid internal components.

   Slice Around Perimeter Adhesive

   Slowly slide the opening pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the factory tape.

   Remove Back Cover

   Lift the rear panel completely off the chassis. Place it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew Lower Speaker Bracket

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom speaker housing assembly.

   Remove Speaker Bracket

   Insert a spudger beneath the edge of the speaker housing and gently pry up to detach it from the phone.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Use a plastic spudger to carefully pop the battery flex connector straight up from its motherboard socket.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cable

    Pry up the main interconnect ribbon cable connector located on the lower charging sub-board.

    Disconnect Coaxial Antenna Cable

    Use fine-tipped tweezers to carefully lift the white coaxial antenna connector straight off the sub-board connector.

    Remove Sub-board Screw

    Unscrew the single Phillips #00 screw holding the charging port daughterboard to the frame.

    Pry Up Defective Sub-board

    Insert a plastic opening tool under the charging sub-board and lift it out of its recess.

    Position New Sub-board

    Align the replacement charging port sub-board into the frame recess and press it lightly into place.

    Secure Sub-board Screw

    Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screw to anchor the new sub-board into the frame.

    Reconnect Coaxial Antenna Cable

    Position the antenna cable head over its sub-board socket and press gently straight down until it snaps in.

    Attach Interconnect Cable

    Align the interconnect flex cable head over the sub-board connector and press down firmly to secure it.

    Reconnect Battery Cable

    Press the battery flex connector back down onto the motherboard until it clicks.

    Reinstall Speaker Bracket

    Set the speaker housing assembly back into position and secure it with the Phillips #00 screws.

    Apply New Back Adhesive

    Clean remaining adhesive off the frame using isopropyl alcohol, then apply fresh pre-cut adhesive tape along the edges.

    Seal Back Cover

    Align the rear panel with the frame and press firmly along all edges to seat the adhesive securely.
