   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

   Heat the back panel

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer along the edges of the back panel for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear panel, just above the USB-C port.

   Insert an opening pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then slide a plastic opening pick under the edge of the rear cover.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick around the bottom and right edges to sever the adhesive sealing the back panel.

   Continue slicing top adhesive

   Carefully guide the opening pick around the top and left edges. Reapply heat if the adhesive offers strong resistance.

   Remove the back panel

   Lift the rear cover away from the chassis and set it aside safely.

   Unscrew the top motherboard bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the plastic motherboard frame and camera surround.

    Remove the top motherboard bracket

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the upper bracket and pry gently to lift it off the frame.

    Disconnect the battery flex cable

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pop the battery press connector straight up off the motherboard socket.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly

    Remove the Phillips #000 screws holding the lower speaker module at the bottom of the phone.

    Remove the loudspeaker module

    Pry up the loudspeaker housing with a spudger and lift it out of the lower chassis.

    Unfasten the battery pull tab

    Peel back the clear adhesive tab covering the front of the battery.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the side edges of the battery to weaken the underlying glue.

    Lift out the battery

    Gasp the battery pull tab firmly and pull straight up until the battery detaches from the frame.

    Clean the battery cavity

    Use tweezers or a lint-free cloth with isopropyl alcohol to remove leftover adhesive strips from the frame floor.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Place new double-sided adhesive strips into the battery compartment and peel off the protective backing.

    Insert the replacement battery

    Set the new battery into the cavity and press down gently across its surface to secure it to the adhesive.

    Plug in the battery connector

    Align the battery flex cable over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reattach the top motherboard cover

    Position the upper motherboard bracket onto the board and reinstall all reserved Phillips screws.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker module

    Place the loudspeaker assembly back into the lower housing and tighten its securing screws.

    Apply rear cover adhesive

    Lay pre-cut adhesive tape along the outer rim of the frame, firmly smoothing it down before removing the backing film.

    Press rear cover into place

    Align the rear panel with the frame and press around all edges to seat the cover onto the fresh adhesive.

    Reinsert SIM card tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left side of the device until flush.
