   Power Off the Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left edge of the phone and push firmly to pop out the SIM tray.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the rear cover for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach the Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover and press down firmly to secure a seal.

   Insert an Opening Pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then slide a plastic opening pick under the rear cover.

   Slice the Rear Adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully around all four perimeter edges of the phone to cut through the remaining adhesive tape.

   Remove the Back Cover

   Lift the rear cover away from the housing and set it aside in a clean area.

   Unscrew the Upper Midframe

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the plastic upper midframe cover over the motherboard.

   Detach the Upper Midframe

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the upper midframe cover and gently pry it up to unclip and remove it.

    Disconnect the Battery Cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pop the battery connector straight up off its motherboard socket.

    Disconnect the Interconnect Cable

    Unplug the main display and motherboard interconnect flex cable that runs directly over the top of the battery.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol to Battery

    Drip a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the top and side edges of the battery well.

    Pull the Battery Removal Tabs

    Locate the clear plastic adhesive pull tabs at the edge of the battery and pull them out slowly at a low angle.

    Pry Out the Old Battery

    If adhesive remains, insert a flat plastic opening card under the battery edge and lift the battery up slowly.

    Clean the Battery Recess

    Wipe away remaining adhesive residue inside the frame using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

    Apply New Battery Adhesive

    Peel the backing off new double-sided adhesive strips and press them firmly into the empty battery well.

    Install the Replacement Battery

    Align the replacement battery into the housing and press it down into the adhesive strips.

    Reconnect the Interconnect Cable

    Align and press the interconnect flex cable connector back into its motherboard port until it snaps firmly into place.

    Reconnect the Battery Cable

    Press the battery cable press connector straight down onto the motherboard socket until it clicks.

    Position the Upper Midframe

    Place the plastic upper midframe shield back over the motherboard and press around the edges to snap the clips into place.

    Secure the Midframe Screws

    Reinstall and tighten all Phillips #00 screws into the upper midframe shield.

    Apply Back Cover Adhesive

    Apply new custom-cut adhesive strips around the perimeter frame of the phone body.

    Press the Back Cover Sealed

    Align the rear panel on the device frame and apply firm, uniform pressure across all edges to seal the adhesive.

    Reinsert the SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush.
