   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the top left side. Push firmly to eject the tray and pull it out.

   Warm the Back Cover

   Apply mild heat around the edges of the back cover using a heat gun or hair dryer for 1 to 2 minutes. This softens the internal adhesive clips.

   Unclip the Rear Cover

   Insert an opening pick between the plastic frame and the back cover at the bottom corner. Slide the pick around the perimeter to release all retaining clips.

   Disconnect the Fingerprint Cable

   Gently lift the rear cover slightly from the left side, taking care not to strain the flex cable. Use a spudger to pop the fingerprint reader connector off the motherboard.

   Remove Lower Speaker Screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws holding down the lower loudspeaker housing. Set the screws aside in a secure organizer tray.

   Pry Out the Loudspeaker Assembly

   Insert a plastic pry tool under the top edge of the speaker module. Gently lift upward to unseat and remove the module, exposing the daughterboard.

   Disconnect the Main Flex Cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the main interconnect flex cable straight up from its socket on the daughterboard.

   Disconnect the Antenna Cable

   Use fine tweezers or a spudger tip to pry up the antenna coaxial cable connector straight off the daughterboard. Handle the delicate connector head carefully.

    Remove the Damaged Daughterboard

    Insert a spudger underneath the edge of the daughterboard containing the primary microphone. Carefully pry it up out of the phone's frame.

    Seat the New Daughterboard

    Align the new replacement daughterboard into its slot in the frame. Press down gently until it sits completely flat in place.

    Reconnect Antenna and Flex Cables

    Align the coaxial antenna head over its socket and press gently until it clicks into place. Then snap the main interconnect flex cable back onto its connector.

    Reinstall the Loudspeaker Assembly

    Place the loudspeaker cover back over the sub-board alignment pins. Secure it by reinserting and tightening the seven Phillips #00 screws.

    Reconnect the Fingerprint Sensor

    Hold the rear cover near the phone and press the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector firmly onto the board until it snaps in.

    Snap the Back Cover Closed

    Align the rear cover with the phone frame and press along all edges until the plastic clips snap tightly into place.

    Reinsert the SIM Card Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush against the frame.
