   Power Down Device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Remove SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the tray on the left side of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray and pull it out.

   Heat Back Cover Edges

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on low heat along the outer perimeter of the back cover for 2 minutes. This softens the internal adhesive and plastic clips.

   Pry Open Back Cover Clips

   Insert a plastic opening pick between the rear casing and the frame at the bottom edge. Slide the pick along the seam to unhook the plastic clips.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor Flex

   Carefully tilt the back cover open without pulling on the fingerprint sensor ribbon. Use a spudger to gently pop the flex connector off the board.

   Unscrew Loudspeaker Bracket

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the six screws securing the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

   Remove Loudspeaker Module

   Insert the tip of a spudger under the top edge of the speaker module. Gently pry up to detach it from the phone frame.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Locate the battery flex cable connector near the motherboard assembly. Use a plastic spudger to lift the connector straight up and disable power.

   Disconnect Interconnect Cable

   Pry up the press-fit connector of the main interconnect ribbon cable attached to the bottom charging port board.

    Disconnect Antenna Cable

    Use precision tweezers to carefully lift the white antenna coaxial cable connector straight off the charging port board.

    Remove Defective Charging Port Board

    Insert a flat opening tool under the charging port sub-board. Carefully pry the board up from the light adhesive underneath and lift it out.

    Install New Charging Port Board

    Align the new daughterboard into its slot at the bottom of the housing. Press down gently until it sits flush in the frame.

    Reconnect Antenna Cable

    Position the coaxial antenna cable head directly over its socket on the board. Press down gently with tweezers until it clicks securely into place.

    Reconnect Interconnect Cable

    Align the main ribbon connector over the socket on the new sub-board. Press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect Battery Cable

    Align the battery flex connector with its motherboard socket and press down to snap it back into place.

    Position Loudspeaker Module

    Align the loudspeaker cover over the lower assembly. Press down firmly around the edges to seat it over the new board.

    Fasten Loudspeaker Screws

    Reinsert and tighten the six Phillips #00 screws to secure the speaker assembly.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Sensor Cable

    Hold the back cover close to the phone and press the fingerprint flex connector onto its board socket.

    Snap Back Cover into Frame

    Align the rear panel with the phone body and press firmly around all perimeter edges until all plastic clips snap shut.

    Reinsert SIM Card Tray

    Slide the SIM tray back into its slot on the left edge of the phone until it sits flush.
