   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge of the phone. Push inward to pop the tray out and set it aside.

   Heat the rear plastic cover

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on low heat to warm the outer edges of the rear cover for 2 minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Attach suction cup to back panel

   Press a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Gently pull up to create a small gap between the cover and the frame.

   Insert plastic opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Be careful not to insert it too deeply to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the underlying adhesive tape.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor ribbon

   Slightly lift the back cover, then use tweezers to carefully disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable attached near the top right of the frame.

   Remove upper motherboard shield screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper plastic motherboard cover shield.

   Detach the motherboard shield

   Insert the flat end of a plastic opening tool beneath the edge of the shield and lift it off the device.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use a plastic spudger to gently pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard.

    Remove lower speaker assembly screws

    Unscrew the Phillips screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the housing.

    Pry off the loudspeaker module

    Insert a spudger under the loudspeaker module and lift it out to expose the lower sub-board connections.

    Disconnect the display flex cable

    Use a plastic spudger to disconnect the main display ribbon cable from the motherboard socket.

    Heat the front display glass

    Apply heat across the front screen for 3 minutes to loosen the strong adhesive holding the display to the frame.

    Pry broken screen from frame

    Insert an opening pick between the glass screen edge and the plastic frame rim, then slide around the border to free the screen.

    Clean residual glue from frame

    Scrape away remaining adhesive fragments with a plastic tool and clean the perimeter frame with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply new frame adhesive

    Lay down custom-cut display adhesive strips precisely along the internal lip of the device frame.

    Thread and seat the new screen

    Pass the display flex cable through the frame slot and press the new screen firmly into the frame.

    Reconnect display and battery ribbons

    Snap the display flex cable and the battery cable back onto their respective motherboard connectors.

    Reinstall speaker module and motherboard shield

    Position the loudspeaker and upper motherboard shield back into place, then secure them with all original screws.

    Attach fingerprint cable and seal back cover

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable, press the back cover firmly onto the frame, and reinstall the SIM tray.
