   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before starting.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the top-left edge of the frame. Push firmly to pop out the tray, then remove it.

   Heat the back cover perimeter

   Apply heat to the edges of the plastic back cover using a heat gun for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the back cover near the USB-C port. Pull upward gently to create a slight gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the seam between the back cover and the main chassis frame.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick along the bottom edge of the device to cut through the factory adhesive layer.

   Unclip the side edges

   Move the pick along the right and left sides to release the plastic retaining clips along the frame.

   Separate the top edge

   Carefully slide the pick across the top edge to free the remaining cover adhesive.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the plastic rear cover off the chassis and set it aside in your clean workspace.

    Unscrew the motherboard cover

    Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper plastic motherboard shield.

    Pry up the motherboard cover

    Insert the tip of a spudger beneath the edge of the motherboard shield and lift it away from the phone.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use a plastic spudger to pop the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket.

    Warm the battery adhesive

    Apply mild heat from a heat gun to the front display panel for 1 minute to loosen the adhesive under the battery.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the outer edges of the battery compartment.

    Peel back adhesive pull tabs

    Use tweezers to unstick the clear adhesive pull-tab edges located at the bottom corners of the battery.

    Pull out adhesive strips

    Slowly pull the adhesive tabs away from the battery at a low angle until the strips fully release.

    Lever out the battery

    Insert a flat plastic prying tool under the edge of the battery and gently lift it out of the chassis.

    Clean old glue residue

    Wipe the battery bay clean using a cotton swab moistened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply new adhesive strips

    Place new battery adhesive removal strips into the empty battery compartment and peel off the protective film.

    Install the replacement battery

    Align the new battery into the bay and press down firmly to secure it to the fresh adhesive strips.

    Attach the battery cable

    Align the battery press connector over its motherboard socket and press down until it snaps in place.

    Reinstall motherboard cover

    Place the upper motherboard shield back into position and tighten all Phillips #00 screws.
