   Power off device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Eject SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject pin into the small hole on the left side of the phone. Press firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

   Heat rear cover

   Apply a heat gun set to low temperature around the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes. This softens the internal adhesive strips.

   Attach suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear plastic cover, just above the bottom edge.

   Create opening seam

   Pull up on the suction cup handle to create a tiny gap between the back cover and the frame. Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice bottom adhesive

   Slide the opening pick carefully along the bottom edge to slice through the adhesive layer.

   Slice side adhesive

   Guide the pick around the corners and up both long side edges to disengage plastic clips and slice remaining adhesive.

   Open back cover carefully

   Gently lift the right side of the rear cover like opening a book. Do not pull it away completely as the fingerprint flex cable is still attached.

   Disconnect fingerprint sensor

   Use a spudger to pry the fingerprint reader flex cable connector straight up off the motherboard socket.

    Remove rear cover

    Set the freed rear cover aside in a clean, safe workspace.

    Unscrew speaker housing

    Remove seven Phillips #000 screws holding down the lower speaker assembly.

    Remove speaker housing

    Insert a spudger under the notch on the speaker housing and pry it up to remove it from the frame.

    Disconnect main flex cable

    Pry up the main ribbon cable connector from the charging port daughterboard using a plastic spudger.

    Disconnect coaxial antenna cable

    Use tweezers to carefully pry the white antenna coax cable connector straight up off the daughterboard.

    Pry up daughterboard

    Insert a flat spudger underneath the charging port daughterboard and pry up carefully to free it from light adhesive.

    Install replacement daughterboard

    Place the new charging port daughterboard into the frame recess and press gently until it seats flat.

    Reconnect antenna cable

    Position the white coaxial cable over its socket on the daughterboard and snap it down firmly into place using tweezers.

    Reconnect main flex cable

    Align the main ribbon cable connector over the daughterboard socket and press down until it clicks.

    Reinstall speaker housing

    Place the speaker housing back onto the lower section of the frame and press down along edges until it sits flush.

    Secure speaker screws

    Reinstall the seven Phillips #000 screws to hold the speaker housing in place.

    Reconnect fingerprint cable

    Hold the rear cover near the phone and press the fingerprint sensor flex connector back onto its motherboard socket.

    Seal rear cover

    Align the rear cover with the frame edges and press down firmly around all sides to re-engage clips and adhesive.

    Reinsert SIM tray

    Slide the SIM tray back into its slot on the left edge until it clicks shut.
