- 2
Heat the Rear Cover Edges
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat around the outer perimeter of the rear cover for 1-2 minutes. This softens the internal adhesive clips securing the plastic panel.

- 5
Unscrew the Motherboard Bracket
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all visible screws holding the upper plastic motherboard frame in place.
- 6
Remove Upper Plastic Frame
2 minGently insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the plastic motherboard shield and pry it upward to detach it from the phone body.
- 7
Disconnect the Battery Flex Cable
1 minUse the edge of a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up off the motherboard to prevent accidental short circuits.
- 8
Disconnect Power Flex Cable
2 minLocate the power and volume ribbon cable connector on the side of the motherboard. Pry the connector up from its socket with a plastic spudger.
- 9
Unseat the Power Button Assembly
3 minSlide precision tweezers beneath the power button flex cable glued inside the frame housing. Carefully peel the cable and contact pads away from the metal frame.
- 10
Install New Power Flex Cable
3 minRemove backing film from adhesive on replacement power button cable. Align contact pads into frame cutouts and press firmly down using tweezers.
- 11
Attach Power Connector to Motherboard
1 minAlign power cable press-connector directly over motherboard socket and press straight down until it snaps into place.
- 12
Reconnect the Battery Flex Cable
1 minPress battery connector back into motherboard socket until a clean click is felt.
- 13
Reinstall Upper Plastic Frame
3 minPosition motherboard shield over upper phone assembly and reinstall Phillips #000 screws firmly to secure frame.
- 14
Attach Fingerprint Cable and Rear Cover
3 minReconnect fingerprint flex connector to motherboard, align back cover with frame, and press firmly along edges to snap clips into place.
- 15
