   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before continuing.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly until the tray ejects, then pull it out completely.

   Heat the rear cover edges

   Apply heat around the edges of the back cover using a heat gun for 1 to 2 minutes. This softens the interior adhesive securing the cover clips.

   Unclip the rear cover

   Insert a plastic opening pick between the rear cover and the front display bezel. Slide along the perimeter to release the plastic retaining clips.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex

   Slightly tilt the rear cover up without pulling it away completely. Use a spudger to disconnect the fingerprint reader cable from the main motherboard.

   Remove the rear cover

   Lift the rear cover away from the phone body and set it aside in a safe location.

   Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly

   Remove the seven Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic loudspeaker housing to the lower frame.

   Remove the loudspeaker module

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the loudspeaker module and lift it out of the chassis.

   Disconnect the interconnect flex cable

   Use a spudger to carefully pry the main interconnect flex cable connector off the lower sub-board.

    Disconnect the coaxial antenna cable

    Grip the head of the white coaxial antenna cable with fine tweezers and snap it off its sub-board terminal.

    Remove the microphone sub-board

    Pry gently beneath the sub-board using a spudger to lift it out of the phone body.

    Position the replacement sub-board

    Set the new sub-board into the lower cavity, making sure the primary microphone rubber boot aligns with the port hole in the frame.

    Attach the coaxial antenna cable

    Align the antenna cable head over the socket on the sub-board and gently press down until it snaps in place.

    Reconnect the interconnect flex cable

    Press the press-fit interconnect cable connector firmly onto the sub-board until you feel it click.

    Position the loudspeaker housing

    Place the loudspeaker module back onto the bottom of the device and press down firmly to snap it flush.

    Secure the loudspeaker screws

    Reinstall and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws into the loudspeaker assembly.

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor

    Hold the back cover close to the phone and snap the fingerprint sensor flex cable back onto the mainboard connector using a spudger.

    Snap the rear cover back on

    Align the rear cover over the phone chassis and press firmly along all edges until every clip snaps shut.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot until it sits completely flush with the side frame.
