   Power down the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off to completely shut down the device.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left edge of the phone to pop out the tray.

   Warm the rear panel edges

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat around the outer rear edges for 1-2 minutes to soften internal adhesive clips.

   Create an opening gap

   Place a suction cup near the bottom rear cover and pull up gently to create a small gap above the seam.

   Slice through perimeter clips

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slide it along the bottom and side edges to release the plastic snaps.

   Unclip the top edge

   Carefully slide the opening pick around the upper corners to free the remaining perimeter clips.

   Partial rear cover lift

   Gently lift the back cover open like a book, taking care not to strain the fingerprint sensor flex cable.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex

   Use the pointed end of a spudger to pry the fingerprint reader press connector off the motherboard socket.

   Remove the back cover

   Set the back cover entirely aside once the fingerprint sensor cable is safely detached.

    Unscrew the lower speaker assembly

    Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws holding down the lower speaker housing.

    Remove the speaker housing

    Insert a spudger underneath the edge of the speaker module and pry upward to remove it.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Pry up the main interconnect ribbon cable press connector from the bottom charging port sub-board.

    Disconnect the coaxial antenna cable

    Use tweezers to carefully unsnap the white coaxial antenna head from the sub-board.

    Remove the old charging port board

    Wedge a flat plastic opening pick beneath the sub-board and gently lift it out of the lower chassis.

    Position the new charging port board

    Place the replacement charging port sub-board into the lower cavity, pressing down lightly to seat it.

    Attach the coaxial antenna cable

    Align the antenna connector precisely over its sub-board socket and snap it gently into place using tweezers.

    Reconnect the main flex cable

    Press the main flex ribbon connector down onto the socket on the new charging port sub-board until it clicks.

    Reinstall the speaker housing

    Align the speaker assembly over the bottom sub-board and press down firmly to snap it into position.

    Secure speaker screws

    Reinsert and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws securing the lower speaker assembly.

    Reconnect fingerprint sensor cable

    Hold the back cover close to the frame and press the fingerprint sensor flex connector onto the motherboard.

    Reattach the back cover

    Press the rear cover firmly around all edges until every clip snaps completely back into place.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Push the SIM card tray back into its slot until it sits flush with the phone body.
