Power off the phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen.

Eject the SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left frame to remove the tray.

Heat the rear cover
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat to warm the outer edges of the back cover for two minutes.

Detach antenna cable
2 minGently lift the antenna coaxial cable connector off the right side of the subboard using tweezers.

Remove old charging board
2 minPry beneath the charging subboard to free it from the bottom frame adhesive and remove it.

Seat new charging subboard
2 minPosition the new replacement subboard into the bottom frame recess and press gently until flat.

Reconnect antenna and flex
2 minSnap the coaxial antenna cable and the main interconnect ribbon cable onto the new subboard.

Reinstall speaker housing
3 minPlace the lower speaker assembly over the subboard and tighten all retaining screws.

Reconnect battery connector
1 minPress the battery ribbon connector firmly onto the motherboard socket until it clicks.

Reattach upper motherboard shield
3 minSet the top shield back on the motherboard and secure it with its Phillips screws.

Secure rear panel
