Pry out the damaged power button cable

Clean the side frame slot
2 minDampen a cotton swab with high-concentration isopropyl alcohol and clean off any leftover adhesive in the power button recess.

Install the new power button flex cable
2 minRemove the protective backing from the new flex cable adhesive and press the switch firmly into the side frame slot.

Reconnect the power button cable
1 minAlign and snap the power button flex connector back onto its socket on the motherboard.

Reconnect the battery cable
1 minPress the battery cable connector straight down onto its motherboard terminal until it clicks into place.

Reinstall the motherboard cover
