   Power down the device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the side of the phone. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it completely.

   Heat the rear panel

   Apply heat to the edges of the back cover using a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat for 2 minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel near the charging port. Pull up gently on the handle to create a tiny gap.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the adhesive.

   Lift off rear cover

   Gently lift the rear panel off the frame. Be cautious of any lingering adhesive strands and set the cover aside.

   Unscrew lower speaker cover

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker housing over the sub-board.

   Remove speaker housing

   Insert a flat spudger under the edge of the speaker module and lift it out of the phone chassis.

   Disconnect interconnect flex cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to gently pry up the press-fit connector of the main ribbon cable attached to the sub-board.

    Disconnect coaxial antenna cable

    Use fine tweezers to carefully pry up the white coaxial antenna head straight up from its socket on the bottom corner of the sub-board.

    Pry up microphone sub-board

    Insert the point of a spudger beneath the sub-board containing the primary microphone and gently pry it out of the recess.

    Transfer rubber microphone seal

    Use tweezers to lift the small rubber microphone gasket from the original board and transfer it onto the new microphone board.

    Seat replacement microphone board

    Align the new sub-board into its frame slot and press down gently until it sits flush against the lower housing.

    Reconnect antenna and main flex cables

    Snap the coaxial cable back onto its socket using tweezers, then press down the main interconnect ribbon connector until it clicks into place.
