Eject the SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left side of the phone. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

Heat the perimeter of the back panel
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting to heat the outer edges of the rear cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach a suction cup and slice the adhesive
5 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull up slightly to create a gap. Insert an opening pick and slide it around the perimeter to sever the adhesive bond.

Remove the back cover

3 minUnplug the rear camera module flex cables and the front-facing camera cable from the motherboard.

Remove motherboard mounting screws
2 minUnscrew any remaining Phillips #00 screws holding the motherboard directly to the aluminum chassis.

Lift out the logic board
2 minInsert a spudger gently underneath the bottom edge of the motherboard and carefully lift it out of the phone housing.

Install the replacement logic board
2 minAlign the replacement logic board into the chassis and press it gently down into position until it rests flat.

Reconnect cameras and internal ribbon cables
4 minPlug the camera modules, antenna coaxial cables, display, and sub-board interconnect cables back into their respective logic board ports.
