   Power Off Device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM card tray on the left edge and push firmly to eject it.

   Heat Rear Cover

   Apply heat to the edges of the back cover using a heat gun on low power for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover and press down to create a tight seal.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Pull up on the suction cup handle to create a gap, then insert a plastic opening pick between the rear panel and frame.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully around the perimeter of the phone to separate the adhesive securing the rear panel.

   Remove Back Cover

   Lift the rear cover away from the frame and set it aside in a safe location.

   Unscrew Upper Shield

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the motherboard cover at the top of the device.

   Remove Upper Shield

   Use a spudger to pry up and remove the plastic motherboard protective cover.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

    Unscrew Speaker Housing

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the loudspeaker enclosure at the bottom of the chassis.

    Remove Speaker Housing

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and lift it out of the phone.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to detach the main ribbon flex cable from the charging port sub-board.

    Disconnect Antenna Cable

    Use tweezers to carefully lift the coaxial antenna cable head straight up off its connector on the sub-board.

    Unscrew Sub-Board

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the charging port daughterboard to the frame.

    Remove Damaged Sub-Board

    Gently pry up the edge of the charging port board with a spudger and remove it from the phone.

    Install New Sub-Board

    Set the replacement charging port board into its recess at the bottom of the frame.

    Secure Sub-Board Screw

    Reinstall the Phillips #00 screw to anchor the sub-board in place.

    Reconnect Antenna Cable

    Align the coaxial antenna connector over its socket on the sub-board and press down gently until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect Interconnect Cable

    Align the main flex cable connector over the sub-board header and press down firmly to connect it.

    Reconnect Battery Cable

    Press the battery flex cable connector down onto the motherboard until you feel it click.

    Reinstall Speaker Housing

    Position the loudspeaker enclosure over the sub-board and press it flush into the frame.

    Fasten Speaker Screws

    Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screws holding the speaker enclosure.

    Fasten Upper Shield

    Reattach the upper motherboard shield and secure it with its Phillips #00 screws.

    Reattach Rear Cover

    Apply new adhesive strips along the perimeter frame, then press the back cover firmly into place.

    Reinsert SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot until it sits flush with the side frame.
