   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole beside the SIM card slot on the left edge and push firmly to pop out the tray.

   Heat the back cover edges

   Apply heat to the outer edges of the back cover using a heat gun or hair dryer for approximately two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and press down firmly to create a seal.

   Insert an opening pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap at the bottom edge, then slide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully around all four edges of the phone to cut through the remaining frame adhesive.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the back cover away from the chassis and set it aside in a clean area.

   Unscrew the top bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper motherboard shield.

   Remove the upper bracket

   Use a spudger to gently lift and detach the plastic upper shield from the frame.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery flex connector straight up from the motherboard.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly

    Remove the Phillips screws holding the lower speaker module over the charging board.

    Remove the loudspeaker

    Insert a spudger underneath the edge of the loudspeaker module and lift it out of the phone frame.

    Disconnect the interconnect flex cable

    Pry up the main board ribbon connector attached to the top of the charging sub-board.

    Disconnect the antenna cable

    Use precision tweezers to unclip the coaxial antenna cable connector from the left side of the sub-board.

    Remove the sub-board screw

    Remove the single Phillips #000 screw securing the sub-board to the lower frame.

    Pry up the charging sub-board

    Gently wedge a flat spudger under the edge of the charging board and lift it out from the recessed housing.

    Position the new charging sub-board

    Place the new charging port daughterboard into the lower recess and press it flush into the frame.

    Secure the sub-board screw

    Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #000 retaining screw on the charging daughterboard.

    Reconnect the coaxial antenna cable

    Align the antenna head precisely over its socket on the sub-board and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Attach the main interconnect cable

    Press the interconnect ribbon cable connector down onto the sub-board header until it clicks.

    Reconnect the battery press connector

    Snap the battery flex connector back onto the mainboard socket.

    Reinstall the upper bracket

    Position the top plastic shield over the motherboard and tighten its Phillips screws.

    Reattach the loudspeaker module

    Fit the lower speaker housing over the sub-board and drive in the securing screws.

    Apply back cover adhesive

    Clean off old glue remnants with isopropyl alcohol, then lay new pre-cut adhesive strips along the frame perimeter.

    Press back cover firm

    Align the back panel with the phone chassis and press firmly along all edges to seal the adhesive.

    Reinsert the SIM card tray

    Slide the SIM tray back into the slot until it sits flush against the outer frame.
