   Eject the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or straightened paperclip into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out.

   Soften Rear Cover Adhesive

   Apply heat to the edges of the rear plastic cover using a heat gun for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup to Rear Cover

   Press a suction cup onto the lower center of the rear cover. Pull upward on the ring to create a minor gap along the bottom seam.

   Insert Opening Pick Under Cover

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the seam created by the suction cup. Slice through the softened adhesive along the bottom edge.

   Slice Around the Perimeter

   Work the pick carefully around the left, right, and top edges to release the rear cover clips and perimeter tape.

   Disconnect the Fingerprint Sensor

   Slightly lift the rear cover to access the fingerprint reader ribbon cable. Use a spudger to pop the flex connector straight up from the motherboard.

   Remove Rear Cover

   Lift the rear cover off the chassis completely and place it aside.

   Unscrew Upper Midframe Bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all screws holding the upper plastic motherboard cover in place.

   Pry Up Upper Midframe Bracket

   Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the motherboard cover. Pry up carefully to disengage the plastic tabs and remove it.

    Disconnect the Battery Cable

    Pry the battery press connector straight up off the motherboard using a plastic spudger to eliminate electrical hazard.

    Disconnect Display Flex Cable

    Locate the main display ribbon connector on the motherboard. Pry it straight up from its socket using a spudger.

    Heat the Front Display Assembly

    Use a heat gun around the front edges of the screen for 2–3 minutes to soften the display adhesive.

    Insert Pick Beneath Display Glass

    Attach a suction cup to the glass and pull upward gently. Insert an opening pick between the display glass and frame bezel.

    Slice Front Screen Adhesive

    Slide the pick around all four edges of the display to slice through the adhesive layer completely.

    Remove Old Screen Assembly

    Lift the display off the body, carefully guiding the display flex cable out through the frame slot.

    Clean Old Adhesive off Frame

    Scrape off residual adhesive using tweezers and clean the rim with isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth.

    Apply New Display Adhesive

    Place narrow double-sided adhesive strips along the entire inner ledge of the front frame.

    Feed Cable and Mount Screen

    Thread the flex ribbon of the replacement screen through the frame slot. Align the panel and press it firmly into place.

    Align the display flex connector with its socket on the motherboard and press down until it clicks securely.

    Align and press the battery connector straight down into its motherboard socket.

    Reinstall Upper Midframe Bracket

    Set the plastic motherboard bracket over the top section of the phone and press down to clip it. Secure all Phillips screws.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Sensor

    Hold the back cover close to the body and snap the fingerprint flex connector onto the motherboard.

    Reseal Rear Cover

    Apply adhesive tape along the frame perimeter, align the rear cover, and press firmly around all edges to seal.

    Reinsert the SIM Card Tray

    Push the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left side of the phone until it sits flush.
