Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely off before starting.

Remove the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

Heat the Back Cover
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer around the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes to soften the underlying adhesive.

Attach the Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower section of the rear cover to create a lifting point.

Insert an Opening Pick
2 minPull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then slide a plastic opening pick under the back cover.

Slice the Perimeter Adhesive
3 minSlide the plastic pick along all four edges of the back cover to cut through the glue.

Slightly Lift the Back Cover
2 minGently swing open the back cover from the right side like a book, avoiding tension on the fingerprint sensor cable.

Disconnect the Fingerprint Cable
2 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the fingerprint sensor flex connector directly off the motherboard.

Remove the Rear Cover
1 minSet the disconnected back cover safely aside away from your working space.

Unscrew the Loudspeaker Housing
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the lower loudspeaker module.

Pry Up the Speaker Housing
2 minInsert the edge of a spudger beneath the bottom speaker housing notch and gently lift it out of the frame.

Remove the Damaged Loudspeaker
1 minLift the old loudspeaker assembly out of the phone body and remove it.

Position the New Loudspeaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker assembly with the bottom cavity of the phone frame.

Press the Loudspeaker into Place
1 minApply light downward pressure until the loudspeaker module snaps flush into its recessed frame location.

Fasten the Loudspeaker Screws
3 minReinstall the seven Phillips #000 screws into the loudspeaker assembly until snug.

Reconnect the Fingerprint Reader
2 minHold the rear cover near the motherboard socket and press the fingerprint connector down until it clicks.

Reseal and Reinstall the Back Cover
3 minApply new adhesive around the perimeter, then press the back cover firmly onto the phone chassis.

Reinsert the SIM Tray
1 minPush the SIM tray back into the left slot until it aligns flush with the outer frame.
