   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to shut down the phone completely.

   Remove the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge and push gently to eject it.

   Apply Heat to the Edges

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat along the back cover edges for 1-2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Create a Gap with an Opening Pick

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the back cover and the frame near the SIM slot.

   Unclip the Back Cover

   Slide the pick around the entire perimeter of the phone to release the plastic clips holding the back cover.

   Slightly Lift the Back Cover

   Gently lift the back cover off the chassis without straining the connected fingerprint sensor flex cable.

   Remove the Fingerprint Cover Screw

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the metal fingerprint connector bracket.

   Remove the Fingerprint Bracket

   Use tweezers to lift and remove the metal bracket covering the fingerprint flex connector.

   Disconnect the Fingerprint Cable

   Pry up the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector from the motherboard using the flat edge of a spudger.

    Remove the Back Cover

    Lift the back cover completely away from the phone body and set it aside.

    Unscrew the Loudspeaker Assembly

    Remove the seven Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker housing to the frame.

    Remove the Loudspeaker Module

    Insert a plastic opening tool under the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and lift it out of the phone.

    Disconnect the Main Interconnect Cable

    Use a spudger to pry up the main flex cable connector from the charging sub-board.

    Disconnect the Antenna Cable

    Use tweezers to carefully unsnap the coaxial antenna cable connector from the socket on the sub-board.

    Remove the Charging Port Board

    Insert a plastic spudger beneath the charging port sub-board and pry it up out of the housing.

    Insert the New Charging Port Board

    Place the replacement sub-board into the lower recess and press it down firmly until it sits flush.

    Reconnect the Antenna Cable

    Align the coaxial antenna head over its socket on the new sub-board and gently press down until it snaps.

    Reconnect the Main Interconnect Cable

    Press the main flex connector firmly onto the sub-board header until you feel a click.

    Reinstall the Loudspeaker Module

    Position the loudspeaker housing back over the bottom sub-board and press it into place.

    Secure the Loudspeaker Screws

    Replace and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws to lock the loudspeaker module in place.

    Reconnect the Fingerprint Cable

    Attach the fingerprint flex cable to the motherboard and resecure its metal bracket with the single screw.

    Snap On the Back Cover

    Align the back cover with the body and press firmly along all edges until all plastic clips snap shut.

    Reinsert the SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into the slot on the side of the phone until it is completely flush.
