Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

Eject SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole at the bottom edge of the phone. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

Heat the Rear Cover
2 minApply a heat gun or heated iOpener along the perimeter of the rear glass cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower third of the back cover. Press down firmly to secure suction and pull gently to form a slight gap.

Slice Rear Adhesive
4 minInsert an opening pick into the gap near the bottom edge. Slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the adhesive seal.

3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the frame.

Pry Up Loudspeaker Module
2 minInsert a spudger under the notched edge of the loudspeaker module. Lever it up gently to release the retaining clips.

2 minAlign the back cover with the phone body and press firmly around all edges to secure the adhesive bond.
