   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before starting.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the bottom frame next to the tray. Press firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat the back cover

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer evenly along the outer edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower section of the back panel near the charging port. Pull upward gently to create a tiny gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created between the rear cover and the frame.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick along all four edges to slice through the adhesive holding the back panel. Reapply heat if resistance increases.

   Lift away the back panel

   Carefully separate the back cover from the frame and set it aside safely on your work mat.

   Unscrew the speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower speaker enclosure over the daughterboard.

   Pry out the speaker housing

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the speaker module and gently lift it out of the chassis.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Use a spudger to pry the main interconnect flex cable straight up from its socket on the charging daughterboard.

    Disconnect the antenna cable

    Use precision tweezers to lift the coaxial antenna cable head straight up off its board connector.

    Remove the board retaining screw

    Remove the single Phillips screw securing the USB-C daughterboard to the inner frame.

    Remove the old charging board

    Pry underneath the edge of the charging daughterboard with a spudger and remove it from the device.

    Place the new charging board

    Position the replacement daughterboard into the lower housing, aligning the USB-C port with the frame cutout.

    Secure the board screw

    Reinstall and tighten the Phillips screw holding the new daughterboard to the frame.

    Reconnect the antenna cable

    Align the coaxial antenna head over its connector socket on the new board and press down gently until it snaps in place.

    Press the main interconnect flex cable connector straight down onto the board header until it clicks.

    Apply custom cut adhesive tape along the perimeter frame where the back cover sits.

    Reattach the back cover

    Align the back cover with the frame and press firmly along the perimeter to secure the adhesive bond.
