   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left side of the phone. Push firmly to eject the SIM tray, then remove it completely.

   Heat the rear panel

   Apply heat along the outer edges of the rear cover for 1 to 2 minutes using a heat gun or hair dryer. This softens the internal adhesive securing the back cover.

   Insert an opening pick

   Press a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover and pull upward to create a slight gap. Insert an opening pick into the gap.

   Unclip the rear panel edges

   Slide the opening pick around the perimeter of the phone to release the plastic clips holding the cover. Work carefully to avoid snapping the plastic frame.

   Lift the rear panel slightly

   Gently lift the right edge of the rear panel like a book cover. Do not pull it away completely, as the fingerprint sensor cable is still attached.

   Remove the motherboard bracket screws

   Use a Phillips PH00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper motherboard shield. Set the screws aside in an organizer tray.

   Remove the upper bracket

   Use tweezers or a spudger to lift and remove the upper metal and plastic protective shield covering the motherboard.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Pry up the battery press connector from the motherboard using a plastic spudger. This cuts power to the phone and prevents electrical shorts.

    Disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex

    Use a plastic spudger to pop the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable off its motherboard socket. Remove the rear panel entirely.

    Remove the speaker enclosure screws

    Unscrew the Phillips screws securing the lower loudspeaker module at the bottom of the phone frame.

    Remove the speaker housing

    Insert a spudger beneath the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and pry it up. Remove the module to reveal the charging sub-board.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the main interconnect flex cable from the bottom charging port board.

    Disconnect the antenna cable

    Gently pry up the coaxial antenna cable connector from the daughterboard using precision tweezers. Do not pull on the cable wire directly.

    Pry up the charging board

    Insert a thin opening tool underneath the charging sub-board and lift it out of the chassis. Pry gently if light adhesive holds it down.

    Install the new charging board

    Align the replacement charging port sub-board with the lower chassis compartment and press it flat into position.

    Reconnect the antenna cable

    Position the coaxial antenna cable head directly over its socket on the new board and press straight down until it clicks into place.

    Attach the main flex cable

    Align the interconnect flex cable connector over its socket on the charging board and press down firmly to snap it together.

    Reinstall the speaker housing

    Position the loudspeaker assembly over the charging sub-board and press down until flush. Fasten all lower speaker screws securely.

    Reconnect the battery and fingerprint sensor

    Snap the fingerprint sensor flex cable and the battery connector back onto their respective motherboard sockets.

    Secure the upper motherboard bracket

    Replace the upper protective shield and tighten all screws to hold the upper flex connectors firmly in place.

    Snap the rear panel back on

    Align the rear panel with the phone body and press firmly along the edges until all plastic clips snap into place. Reinsert the SIM tray.
