Step-by-step

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then pull it completely free.

Heat Back Cover
2 minApply heat to the outer edges of the rear panel using a heat gun for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Slice Adhesive Seal
4 minAttach a suction cup near the bottom edge, pull upward, and insert a plastic opening pick under the seam to slice through the adhesive perimeter.

Disconnect Fingerprint Cable
3 minPivot the back cover open like a book, then use plastic tweezers to carefully disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable from the board.

12 minInspect the logic board under magnification, apply flux, and use a soldering iron and desoldering braid to fix broken traces or components.

Position Repaired Logic Board
2 minAlign the logic board with the alignment pegs in the frame and press it gently into place until flush.

Reconnect Flex Cables and Cameras
4 minReattach the camera modules, display ribbon, interconnect cable, coaxial antenna, and lastly the battery connector to the board.

Reattach Cover and Seal Phone
5 minScrew down the upper motherboard bracket, reconnect the fingerprint flex cable, press the rear cover firmly back onto the chassis, and reinstall the SIM tray.
