Power Off Phone

Unclip Rear Cover
4 minInsert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the display assembly and rear plastic cover, sliding around the perimeter to release all retaining clips.

Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor
2 minSlightly lift the rear cover and use a spudger to gently pop off the fingerprint reader flex cable from the logic board before removing the cover completely.

Unscrew Plastic Shield
3 minRemove the Phillips #00 screws securing the upper plastic motherboard shield to the midframe.

Remove Upper Shield
1 minInsert the tip of a spudger under the motherboard shield and lift it off the device to reveal the motherboard components.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minPry the battery press connector straight up off the top left side of the logic board to eliminate power to the board.

1 minUse a plastic spudger to disconnect the display flex cable press connector near the bottom left of the logic board.

Disconnect Interconnect Cable
1 minDetach the daughterboard interconnect flex connector located on the lower right section of the logic board.

Disconnect Antenna Cable
2 minUse fine tweezers to gently unclip the white coaxial antenna cable from the right side of the board.

Remove Front Camera
2 minDisconnect the front-facing camera flex connector and carefully lift the camera module out of its recessed frame.

Remove Rear Camera Assembly
2 minUnplug the camera press connectors for the main camera array and remove the camera modules from the logic board.

Unscrew Logic Board
1 minRemove the single Phillips #00 retaining screw holding the motherboard to the phone chassis.

Lift Out Logic Board
2 minInsert a flat plastic tool beneath the bottom edge of the motherboard and carefully pry it up to remove it from the phone.
