   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear panel

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat to warm the edges of the back cover for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the back cover.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower third of the back cover near the bottom edge. Pull up gently to create a small gap between the cover and frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert the thin tip of an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not slide the pick in deeper than 3 mm.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the opening pick slowly along all four edges of the back cover to cut through the adhesive. Reapply mild heat if the pick encounters strong resistance.

   Lift the back cover

   Gently tilt the back cover open from the right side like a book. Be careful not to strain the fingerprint sensor flex cable connected to the motherboard.

   Disconnect the fingerprint reader

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the fingerprint sensor press connector straight up from its motherboard socket. Set the back cover aside.

   Unscrew the lower loudspeaker cover

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly. Keep track of each screw for reassembly.

   Pry up the loudspeaker cover

   Insert the tip of a spudger under the top edge of the lower speaker plastic cover. Gently pry upward to release the plastic clips holding it in place.

    Remove the old loudspeaker

    Use tweezers or a spudger to lift the loudspeaker module out of the lower housing cavity. Note its orientation for the replacement part.

    Install the new loudspeaker

    Place the replacement loudspeaker into the lower frame recess. Press it down lightly so the gold contact spring pins seat properly.

    Position the loudspeaker cover

    Align the lower loudspeaker housing cover over the speaker module and lower frame assembly. Press along the edges until it snaps flat into place.

    Reinstall the lower screws

    Insert and tighten all Phillips screws to secure the speaker cover to the frame. Drive them until snug, but avoid overtightening.

    Reconnect the fingerprint flex

    Hold the back cover near the frame and align the fingerprint flex cable connector over its socket. Press down firmly with a spudger until it clicks into place.

    Apply back cover adhesive

    Peel and lay custom adhesive strips around the perimeter of the phone frame. Press down firmly to adhere the strips, then peel off the protective backing paper.

    Seal the back cover

    Align the back cover accurately with the phone frame. Press down firmly around all edges for 30 seconds to establish a secure seal.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Orient the SIM card tray correctly and push it fully into the SIM slot until flush with the phone edge.
