Step-by-step

Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select power off to ensure the device is fully shut down.

Remove SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left side and pull the tray out.

Heat Rear Cover
2 minApply heat evenly across the back cover edges using a heat gun for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel, pull gently, and insert a thin opening pick into the gap.

Slice Rear Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick along the perimeter of the back cover to slice through all adhesive holding it to the frame.

Disconnect Fingerprint Cable
2 minSlightly lift the rear cover from the left side and use tweezers to detach the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector.

Remove Upper Cover Screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the top motherboard cover.

Detach Motherboard Cover
2 minPry up and remove the plastic motherboard protective cover from the upper section of the phone.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minUse a plastic spudger to disconnect the battery flex cable directly from the motherboard.

Remove Loudspeaker Screws
2 minUnscrew the Phillips screws securing the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

2 minPry the bottom loudspeaker housing out of the frame using a plastic opening tool.

Disconnect Display Cable
1 minUnplug the main display flex cable from its socket on the motherboard.

Heat Screen Edges
3 minApply heat to the front glass edges for 2-3 minutes to loosen the factory screen glue.

Pry Up Screen
3 minAttach a suction cup to the bottom screen edge and insert an opening pick between the glass and middle frame.

Slice Screen Adhesive
4 minCarefully slide the pick around all four edges of the front panel to separate the display completely.

Remove Broken Screen
2 minThread the display flex cable through the slot in the middle frame and remove the broken screen assembly.

Clean Frame Perimeter
4 minScrape away remaining adhesive and glass shards from the frame lip using isopropyl alcohol and a pry tool.

4 minApply double-sided electronic tape neatly around the inner perimeter of the phone frame.
