   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM card tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then remove it.

   Heat the rear panel

   Apply a heat gun or heated iOpener around the outer edges of the rear cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Insert an opening pick

   Press a suction cup onto the lower back cover and pull upward to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening pick into the seam.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully along all four sides to separate the back cover from the frame clips and adhesive.

   Open the back cover carefully

   Gently swing open the back cover from the right side like a book. Do not pull it away completely yet as the fingerprint ribbon cable is attached.

   Remove the fingerprint sensor bracket

   Unscrew the single Phillips #00 screw securing the metal fingerprint cable bracket to the motherboard shield and lift the bracket off.

   Disconnect the fingerprint flex cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the fingerprint reader connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard.

   Unscrew the loudspeaker cover

   Remove the seven Phillips #00 screws securing the lower loudspeaker housing to the bottom of the phone frame.

    Pry up the loudspeaker assembly

    Insert a spudger under the notch on the side of the loudspeaker housing and lift it up out of the chassis.

    Disconnect the interconnect cable

    Pry up the main flex interconnect cable connector from the bottom sub-board using a plastic spudger.

    Disconnect the antenna cable

    Use fine tweezers to carefully unclip the black antenna coaxial cable from the corner of the sub-board.

    Remove the microphone sub-board

    Slide a thin opening pick under the sub-board containing the microphone and USB port, then gently pry it out of the lower chassis.

    Set the new microphone sub-board

    Place the replacement daughterboard into the bottom frame slot, aligning the USB port and microphone hole precisely.

    Attach the antenna coaxial cable

    Align the antenna head over the connector on the new sub-board and press straight down until it snaps in place.

    Reconnect the interconnect flex cable

    Press the main ribbon cable connector down onto the sub-board connector socket until it clicks into position.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker cover

    Place the loudspeaker assembly back over the bottom sub-board section and push it flat against the chassis.

    Secure the loudspeaker screws

    Reinsert and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws to hold the loudspeaker and sub-board in place.

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor

    Press the fingerprint sensor cable onto the motherboard connector, position its metal bracket, and secure it with the single Phillips screw.

    Reattach the rear panel

    Apply fresh rear adhesive strips along the phone frame perimeter, align the back cover, and press firmly along all edges to seal.
