Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap 'Power off' on the screen to shut down the device completely.

Eject SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM ejection tool or paperclip into the hole beside the SIM tray and push gently to pop it out.

Heat the Back Cover
2 minApply heat evenly around the rear edges of the phone with a heat gun for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull upward to create a slight gap.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass back cover and the phone frame.

Slice Back Cover Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick around all four sides of the phone to cut through the perimeter adhesive tape.

Lift Back Cover
1 minGently swing open the back cover toward the right side, taking care not to strain the attached fingerprint sensor cable.

Disconnect Fingerprint Cable
1 minUse a plastic spudger to pry the fingerprint reader flex connector straight up from the motherboard.

1 minPry up the main interconnect flex cable connector from the top edge of the charging daughterboard.

Unclip Coaxial Cable
1 minUse precision tweezers to gently pop the white coaxial antenna cable connector off its socket on the daughterboard.

Remove Charging Board
2 minPry underneath the charging port board with a flat spudger to release it from the lower housing.

Desolder USB-C Port
5 minApply liquid flux and use a soldering iron with desoldering braid to clear the solder anchoring the damaged USB-C port.

Solder New Charging Port
5 minPosition the new USB-C port onto the daughterboard pads and solder both the mounting pins and data pins securely.

Seat Repaired Board
1 minPress the repaired charging port daughterboard back into its recess in the lower chassis.

Reconnect Cable Connectors
2 minSnap the antenna coaxial cable and main interconnect flex cable back onto their respective sockets on the board.

Reinstall Speaker Cover
2 minAlign the speaker module over the lower section and replace the seven Phillips #000 screws to secure it.
