   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert the SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM tray on the left edge and push firmly to eject the tray.

   Heat Back Cover

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer evenly around the edges of the rear panel for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower third of the rear back panel and pull upward to create a slight gap.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created between the frame and the back panel.

   Slice Back Cover Adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive seal.

   Lift Off Back Cover

   Gently lift the plastic back cover off the chassis and place it aside.

   Unscrew Upper Midframe

   Remove the Phillips #000 screws securing the plastic motherboard bracket to the upper frame.

   Unscrew Lower Speaker Assembly

   Remove the Phillips #000 screws holding the loudspeaker module at the bottom of the phone.

   Use a plastic spudger to pry up and remove the plastic motherboard shield.

    Remove Speaker Module

    Pry up and remove the lower loudspeaker housing to clear access to the bottom of the battery.

    Disconnect Battery Flex

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up off the motherboard.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cables

    Detach the main flex and display interconnect cables running directly across the battery.

    Unseat Adhesive Pull Tabs

    Locate and peel back the clear plastic release tabs on the battery adhesive strips using tweezers.

    Pull Battery Adhesive Strips

    Slowly pull the adhesive strips outward at a low angle until they release completely from under the battery.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol

    If the adhesive tabs break, drop a few drops of isopropyl alcohol along the battery edges and wait 2 minutes.

    Lever Out Old Battery

    Insert a flat plastic opening card or spudger beneath the battery edge and gently pry it out of the recess.

    Clean Battery Recess

    Wipe away remaining adhesive and dirt inside the battery compartment using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

    Install New Adhesive Strips

    Apply new replacement battery adhesive strips or thin double-sided tape onto the phone chassis well.

    Set New Battery

    Align the replacement battery in the housing well and press down firmly to set it into the adhesive.

    Reconnect Flex Cables

    Align and press down the main interconnect and display flex cables onto their motherboard sockets.

    Press the battery connector press joint directly down onto the motherboard until it clicks into place.

    Reinstall Upper Bracket

    Position the upper motherboard bracket onto the frame and tighten all Phillips #000 screws.

    Reinstall Speaker Module

    Place the loudspeaker housing back at the bottom of the device and secure it with its Phillips #000 screws.

    Apply Back Cover Adhesive

    Apply fresh pre-cut back panel adhesive tape around the rim of the rear chassis.

    Reseal Back Panel

    Align the back cover, press firmly around all perimeter edges, and reinsert the SIM card tray.
