Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

Remove SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM card tray on the side of the phone and pull the tray out.

Heat Back Cover
3 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat to warm the outer edges of the rear panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Slice Perimeter Adhesive
5 minAttach a suction cup near the bottom edge, pull upward, and insert a plastic prying pick into the gap to slice through the adhesive around the perimeter.

Lift Off Back Cover
2 minCarefully separate the rear back cover from the phone frame and place it on a clean surface.

Unscrew Motherboard Frame
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the upper plastic motherboard shield.

Remove Upper Plastic Shield
2 minGently insert the flat end of a spudger under the motherboard shield and lift it off the frame.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minPry the battery press connector straight up from the motherboard using a nylon spudger to cut power to the device.

Disconnect Main Interconnect Cables
2 minUse the spudger to unclip the display flex cable and the main interconnect ribbon cable from the logic board.

Disconnect Antenna Cables
2 minUse precision tweezers to unclip the coaxial antenna cables from the motherboard edges.

Remove Rear Camera Assembly
3 minDisconnect the rear camera press connectors and carefully lift the camera module off the board.

Remove Front Camera
2 minUnplug the front selfie camera flex cable and pull the camera module out of its housing.

Unscrew Logic Board
2 minRemove the single Phillips #000 retaining screw holding the logic board to the internal chassis.

Lift Out Logic Board
3 minGently leverage a plastic spudger under the top corner of the logic board and lift it out from the phone body.
