Power Off and Eject SIM Tray

Slice Left Edge Adhesive
2 minSlide the pick around the bottom-left corner and move it upwards along the left edge.

2 minMove the pick along the right side, taking care not to insert it deeper than 3 mm.

2 minCut through the remaining adhesive strip along the top edge of the back panel.

Remove Back Panel
1 minLift the back cover away from the housing and place it on a clean surface.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Module
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower speaker assembly.

Remove Loudspeaker Module
2 minPry beneath the speaker enclosure using a flat spudger and lift it out of the phone.

Disconnect Battery Connector
2 minUse a plastic spudger to pop off the main battery flex cable and prevent short circuits.

Disconnect Interconnect Cable
2 minPry up the lower press connector of the main interconnect flex cable off the charging sub-board.

Disconnect Antenna Cable
2 minGently unclip the black coaxial antenna cable header from the lower sub-board with fine tweezers.

Remove Sub-Board Screws
1 minUnscrew the small Phillips screw fixing the sub-board to the lower chassis.

Remove Defective Sub-Board
2 minWedge a plastic spudger beneath the sub-board and lift the charging port assembly out of the frame.

Insert New Sub-Board
2 minAlign the replacement charging port sub-board into its frame recess at the bottom of the phone.

Secure Sub-Board Screw
1 minReinstall and tighten the Phillips screw that secures the sub-board in place.

Reconnect Antenna Cable
2 minPosition the coaxial cable head over its socket on the sub-board and press down until it snaps.

2 minAlign the rear cover over the phone frame and press firmly along all edges to seat the adhesive.

Reinsert SIM Tray
1 minPush the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until flush.
