Step-by-step

Eject the SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

Heat the rear cover adhesive
2 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the factory adhesive.

Attach a suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower third of the back cover and press down firmly to secure it.

Insert an opening pick
2 minPull up on the suction cup to create a small gap and slide a plastic opening pick into the seam.

Slice perimeter back cover adhesive
3 minSlide the opening pick around all four edges of the back panel to cut through the adhesive seal.

Lift the rear panel partially

1 minPop the lower ribbon connector loose from the bottom edge of the logic board.

Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables
2 minUse fine tweezers to gently lever up the white and black antenna cable heads from the logic board.

Remove the camera modules
2 minDisconnect the front and rear camera flex cables, then lift both cameras out of their motherboard recesses.

Remove the motherboard retaining screw
1 minUnscrew the single Phillips #000 screw securing the lower edge of the logic board to the frame.

Remove the logic board
2 minCarefully pry up the top edge of the logic board and remove it completely from the phone chassis.
