   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the power button until the option menu appears, then tap Power Off. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole beside the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to eject the tray and set it aside.

   Heat the Rear Cover

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer along the edges of the back cover for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive. Keep the heat moving constantly to prevent heat damage.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear cover and press down to secure a tight grip. Pull up gently to create a slight gap between the cover and the frame.

   Slice Perimeter Adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the rear cover adhesive.

   Lift the Rear Cover

   Carefully tilt the back cover open from the right edge like a book. Do not pull it away completely, as the fragile fingerprint cable remains attached.

   Unclip Fingerprint Sensor Cable

   Use the pointed tip of a spudger to gently pop the fingerprint sensor press connector off its socket on the motherboard. Set the back panel aside.

   Unscrew the Upper Midframe

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the plastic upper midframe cover. Group the screws together safely so none are lost.

   Remove Upper Plastic Midframe

   Insert a spudger under the top edge of the plastic midframe shield and pry up to release its perimeter clips. Lift the midframe away from the chassis.

    Disconnect the Battery Cable

    Locate the battery flex cable on the motherboard and use a plastic spudger to pry the connector straight up out of its socket.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cable

    Pry up the main interconnect ribbon cable connector that runs directly across the battery pack. Bend the ribbon back slightly out of the workspace.

    Soften Battery Adhesive

    Apply a few drops of high-purity isopropyl alcohol around the perimeter edges of the battery. Allow 1 to 2 minutes for the alcohol to break down the adhesive beneath.

    Pry Out the Old Battery

    Slide a flat plastic prying tool beneath the edge of the battery away from the motherboard. Gently lever the battery upward until it fully detaches from the frame.

    Clean Battery Well

    Wipe down the battery recess using a lint-free cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol to remove leftover adhesive residue. Ensure the housing is completely dry.

    Apply New Battery Adhesive

    Peel the protective backing off new battery adhesive strips and lay them flat in the chassis cavity. Press down to secure them to the frame.

    Set the Replacement Battery

    Remove the top film from the adhesive strips and lower the new battery into the well. Press down evenly across the top face of the battery to secure it.

    Reconnect Flex Cables

    Snap the main interconnect ribbon cable back onto its motherboard socket, then reconnect the battery flex connector until both click firmly.

    Reinstall Upper Midframe

    Reinsert the SIM Tray
