Power Off the Phone

3 minUnplug the main display flex cable, power interconnect flex cable, and coaxial antenna cable from the mainboard.

Remove the Motherboard
2 minCarefully lever the main logic board out of the chassis using a flat spudger.

Remove the Daughterboard
2 minDisconnect the lower interconnect flex cable and lift the charging port board out of the housing.

Scrub Boards with Isopropyl Alcohol
5 minSubmerge or heavily spray the circuit boards with 99% isopropyl alcohol and gently scrub away corrosion with an soft ESD brush.

Dry the Components Completely
15 minPlace all cleaned board components on a lint-free towel and let them air dry completely for at least 15 minutes.

Reinstall Circuit Boards and Connectors
