   Power Off and Eject SIM Tray

   Turn off your Motorola Moto G7 Power completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the left edge to remove the SIM card tray.

   Heat Back Cover Edges

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on medium setting around the outer edges of the rear glass cover for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Apply Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly near the bottom edge of the back cover and pull gently to create a slight gap.

   Slice Perimeter Adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slide it carefully around the edges to cut through the adhesive. Avoid inserting the pick too deep near the fingerprint sensor on the upper middle section.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor Cable

   Slightly lift the rear cover to access the fingerprint sensor flex cable. Use tweezers or a plastic spudger to pop the connector off the motherboard.

   Remove Back Cover

   Lift the back cover away from the frame and place it aside on a clean work surface.

   Unscrew Lower Speaker Housing

   Use your precision Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws holding the lower loudspeaker housing over the microphone daughterboard.

   Pry Out Speaker Housing

   Insert a plastic opening tool beneath the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and gently lift it out of the phone frame.

   Disconnect Interconnect Flex Cable

   Use a spudger to pry up the main ribbon cable connector from the bottom daughterboard.

    Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cable

    Gently pry up the round white antenna cable connector off the daughterboard using flat tweezers.

    Unscrew Microphone Daughterboard

    Remove any remaining screws securing the daughterboard assembly to the bottom of the chassis.

    Remove Old Daughterboard

    Use a plastic spudger to gently pry the old daughterboard—which houses the primary microphone—out of its recess.

    Install New Microphone Daughterboard

    Set the replacement daughterboard into the chassis recess and press gently until it sits flush.

    Reconnect Antenna Coaxial Cable

    Align the antenna cable head over its socket on the new board and press straight down until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect Interconnect Flex Cable

    Align the main flex cable connector over the daughterboard socket and press firmly until you feel a click.

    Reattach Speaker Housing and Screws

    Position the loudspeaker housing over the lower board and secure it with the screws removed earlier.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Sensor Cable

    Hold the back cover close to the frame and snap the fingerprint sensor connector back onto the motherboard socket.

    Seal Back Cover and SIM Tray

    Apply pre-cut replacement adhesive around the edges of the frame, press the back cover firmly down, and reinsert the SIM card tray.
