Remove SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone to eject the SIM tray. Pull the tray completely out of the frame.

Heat Back Cover
2 minApply heat evenly around the outer edges of the rear cover for two minutes using a heat gun set to low. This softens the adhesive holding the back panel.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower half of the rear panel near the bottom edge. Pull up gently on the suction cup to create a small gap between the cover and the chassis.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Keep the pick flat to avoid damaging internal flex cables.

Slice Back Panel Adhesive
4 minSlide the pick carefully along the bottom, left, and right perimeter of the device to cut through the adhesive. Apply additional heat if the pick meets heavy resistance.

Pry Out Damaged Flex Cable
2 minUse fine tweezers to gently peel the defective power button flex cable away from the inner sidewall of the phone chassis.

Remove Power Button Key
1 minPush the outer physical power button key inward from outside the frame to free it from its recess. Lift the old key out with tweezers.

2 minInsert the new physical power button actuator into the frame slot from the inside. Ensure it sits flush and clicks smoothly when pressed from the outside.

3 minRemove any protective backing from the new power button flex cable adhesive. Carefully align and press the flex cable contact pad into the inner sidewall recess.

Reinstall Metal Bracket

Reconnect Flex and Battery Connectors
