   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole beside the SIM card tray. Press firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat the Back Cover Edges

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer to the perimeter of the back cover for about two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive underneath.

   Attach Suction Cup to Back Panel

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the plastic back cover. Press down firmly to secure a tight grip.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Pull up gently on the suction cup to create a small seam. Insert the tip of a plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice the Back Cover Adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully around all four edges of the back cover. Apply additional heat if you encounter strong resistance.

   Detach the Back Cover

   Lift the rear plastic panel off the device frame. Set it aside in a clean area.

   Remove Phillips Midframe Screws

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the midframe and motherboard bracket. Keep track of each screw location.

   Pry Off the Plastic Midframe

   Insert a spudger along the perimeter edge of the plastic midframe shield. Carefully pry it up to unclip it from the chassis.

    Disconnect the Fingerprint Sensor Cable

    Locate the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector on the board. Use a plastic spudger to gently pop the press-fit connector straight up.

    Disconnect the Battery Cable

    Pry up the battery flex cable connector from the motherboard using a plastic spudger. This cuts all electrical power to the phone.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to lift the main interconnect flex cable off its motherboard press-fit socket.

    Apply Heat to Lower Chassis

    Warm the front screen area opposite the battery compartment for two minutes to soften the battery glue.

    Pull Battery Release Adhesive Tab

    Locate the adhesive pull-tab at the edge of the battery. Grasp the tab and pull it out slowly at a low angle.

    Pry Out the Defective Battery

    Insert a plastic prying tool under the battery edge and gently lever it up. Do not bend or puncture the battery body.

    Clean Residual Adhesive

    Apply a few drops of isopropyl alcohol to the battery housing area. Wipe away any remaining sticky tape residue with a cloth.

    Lay Down New Battery Adhesive

    Peel the protective backing off new battery adhesive strips. Securely apply the adhesive strips to the bottom of the battery well.

    Set New Battery into Frame

    Align the replacement battery in the housing well and press down firmly to set it in place.

    Reattach Interconnect Cable

    Align the main interconnect flex cable over its connector on the motherboard. Press straight down until it snaps closed.

    Connect New Battery Flex Cable

    Position the battery flex cable over its designated terminal socket. Gently press down until you feel a firm click.

    Reinstall Plastic Midframe and Screws

    Snap the midframe frame back onto the body, then drive all Phillips screws back into place securely.

    Apply Back Cover Adhesive Tape

    Place pre-cut double-sided tape or frame adhesive along the perimeter edges of the phone frame.

    Seal the Back Cover

    Align the rear panel over the phone frame and press down firmly around all edges to bond the adhesive.

    Reinsert SIM Card Tray
