   Power off and remove SIM tray

   Turn off the phone completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the card tray on the left side to eject it.

   Heat the rear cover adhesive

   Apply warmth to the back panel edges using a heat gun or hairdryer for about two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Slice the back panel seal

   Insert a thin opening pick between the rear panel and the frame. Gently slide around the perimeter to cut through the glue.

   Detach the fingerprint reader cable

   Slightly lift the rear panel and use a spudger to pop off the fingerprint reader ribbon cable from the main board.

   Unscrew the upper midframe cover

   Remove all Phillips #00 screws securing the upper plastic protective bracket and motherboard shield.

   Remove the upper frame shield

   Insert the edge of a plastic spudger under the motherboard shield and gently pry it up from the chassis.

   Use a nylon spudger to pry the battery connector straight up off its socket to remove all electrical power.

   Unplug the display ribbon cable and the long interconnect flex cable attached to the bottom section of the board.

   Disconnect antenna coaxial cables

   Use fine tweezers to gently lift the white and black coaxial antenna headers off their board connectors.

    Remove the rear camera assembly

    Unplug the press connectors for the main rear camera cluster and lift the camera modules off the board.

    Remove the front-facing camera

    Disconnect the selfie camera flex cable and pull the front camera module out of its recessed slot.

    Unscrew the logic board retention screw

    Locate and remove the single silver Phillips screw holding the motherboard flat against the inner frame.

    Extract the logic board

    Carefully pry up the logic board from the top edge and lift it out of the phone housing.

    Place the board under a magnifying glass or lamp to inspect for cracked solder joints, corrosion, or burnt surface components.

    Reflow or micro-solder damaged components

    Apply flux to target areas and use a fine-tip soldering iron or desoldering braid to correct bridged pins or replace bad chips.

    Reinstall the logic board

    Set the repaired motherboard back into the frame, ensuring no flex cables are trapped beneath it.

    Reattach cameras and flex cables

    Plug all camera modules, display flexes, antenna cables, and lastly the battery connector back into their sockets.

    Reinstall midframe screws and rear cover

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor, re-mount the motherboard shield with its Phillips screws, and press the back cover into place.
