   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is entirely shut down before proceeding.

   Eject SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole on the top-left edge of the frame. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

   Heat Rear Panel

   Apply heat to the outer edges of the rear cover using a heat gun or hair dryer for about two minutes. Keep the heat source moving to soften the adhesive without scorching the plastic.

   Apply Suction Cup

   Attach a suction cup to the lower center of the rear glass. Pull upward steadily on the suction cup handle to create a small gap near the bottom seam.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert a plastic prying tool or opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide it slightly to hold the gap open.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the peripheral adhesive. Take extra care around the middle-right side where the fingerprint sensor cable is located.

   Lift Rear Panel

   Gently lift the back cover off the chassis toward the right like opening a book. Do not pull the cover completely away yet, as it is still attached by the fingerprint sensor cable.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor

   Use a spudger to pry up the metal bracket cover and gently pop off the fingerprint reader press connector from the motherboard. Set the back panel aside.

   Unscrew Speaker Assembly

   Remove the five Phillips #000 screws securing the plastic loudspeaker enclosure at the bottom of the phone.

    Remove Speaker Module

    Insert the flat end of a spudger under the top lip of the loudspeaker housing. Pry upward gently to release it from the frame and remove it.

    Disconnect Sub-Board Cables

    Use the edge of a spudger to pop off the main interconnect flex cable connector from the daughterboard. Carefully unclip the white antenna coaxial cable from its socket on the same board.

    Pry Up Daughterboard

    Insert a spudger beneath the daughterboard (which holds the primary microphone) and gently pry it up from the light adhesive underneath. Remove the board from the chassis.

    Clear Microphone Port

    Inspect the rubber microphone gasket and port opening in the bottom edge of the frame. Use fine tweezers and isopropyl alcohol to clean out any packed lint or dirt.

    Place New Daughterboard

    Align the replacement daughterboard over the lower frame cavity, ensuring the microphone aligns with the frame opening. Press down lightly to seat it in place.

    Reconnect Sub-Board Cables

    Align and snap down the main interconnect ribbon cable onto its connector on the sub-board. Reattach the antenna coaxial cable by pressing its head firmly into the round socket until it clicks.

    Reattach Speaker Module

    Position the loudspeaker enclosure over the bottom assembly and press down until it sits flush. Reinstall the five Phillips #000 screws securely.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Sensor

    Hold the rear cover close to the body and press the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector back onto the motherboard connector.

    Seal Rear Panel

    Apply new pre-cut adhesive strips around the rim of the frame. Align the rear cover with the chassis and press firmly around all edges to secure it.
