   Eject SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

   Heat Rear Cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer to apply smooth heat around all edges of the rear cover for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive sealing the back glass.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear cover just above the bottom edge. Pull gently upward to create a slight gap between the glass and the phone frame.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert the tip of an opening pick into the gap created beneath the bottom edge. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging internal flex cables.

   Slice Lower Edge Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick horizontally along the bottom edge of the phone. Work through the adhesive carefully while maintaining gentle upward pressure on the suction cup.

   Slice Left Edge Adhesive

   Guide the pick around the bottom-left corner and slide it up toward the top of the phone. Apply additional heat if you feel strong resistance.

   Slice Top Edge Adhesive

   Continue sliding the pick across the top edge of the device to cut through the upper adhesive strip.

   Slice Right Edge Adhesive

   Slide the pick down the right edge to free the remaining sides of the back panel. Stop before reaching the middle section to avoid snagging the fingerprint cable.

   Unfold Rear Cover

   Gently swing the rear cover open from the right side like a book. Do not pull it away completely yet, as the fingerprint cable remains connected.

    Remove Sensor Bracket Screw

    Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the metal bracket over the fingerprint sensor connector.

    Remove Metal Bracket

    Use tweezers to lift and remove the small metal retaining bracket covering the fingerprint sensor press connector.

    Disconnect Fingerprint Flex

    Pry the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard using the flat end of a spudger.

    Remove Rear Cover

    Set the rear cover aside completely now that the sensor cable is disconnected.

    Remove Speaker Screws

    Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the lower speaker assembly to the housing.

    Remove Speaker Assembly

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the speaker housing and gently lever it up and out of the frame.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cable

    Pry the bottom interconnect flex cable connector up from the charging port daughterboard using a plastic spudger.

    Disconnect Antenna Cable

    Use precision tweezers to pry the white coaxial antenna cable connector straight up off its metal stud on the charging board.

    Pry Up Charging Board

    Insert a plastic prying tool under the edge of the charging port board and lift it out of its recessed slot in the frame.

    Insert New Charging Board

    Align the replacement charging port board with the lower frame slot and press it down firmly into position.

    Attach Antenna Cable

    Carefully align the coaxial antenna connector over its stud on the new board and press down gently until it snaps into place.

    Connect Interconnect Cable

    Align the main interconnect flex connector over the board header and press firmly down until you feel it click.

    Position Speaker Assembly

    Place the loudspeaker enclosure back over the charging sub-board, aligning all screw posts with the frame.

    Fasten Speaker Screws

    Reinstall and tighten all Phillips #00 screws securing the lower speaker assembly in place.

    Connect Fingerprint Flex

    Hold the rear cover near the motherboard and press the fingerprint sensor flex connector straight onto its motherboard socket.

    Secure Sensor Bracket

    Replace the small metal retaining bracket over the sensor connector and tighten its Phillips #00 screw.

    Reattach Rear Cover

    Apply new adhesive along the perimeter of the frame, align the rear cover, and press firmly along all edges to seal the device.
