   Power Down the Device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut off before proceeding.

   Remove SIM and SD Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left side of the phone. Push firmly to pop out the tray and slide it out.

   Heat Front Display Assembly

   Use a heat gun or heated iOpener along the screen perimeter for 2 to 3 minutes. Warm the glass evenly to soften the display adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the display screen. Press down firmly to create a tight seal.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Pull up gently on the suction cup to create a small gap at the bottom edge. Insert a plastic opening pick under the glass panel.

   Slice Screen Perimeter Adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully around all four edges of the screen. Avoid pushing too deep near the top sensors and bottom home button.

   Pivot Display Assembly Open

   Gently tilt the display open from the right side like a book page. Do not pull the screen away entirely as flex cables connect it at the top.

   Unscrew Display Shield Bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the display connector shield. Store the screw in an organizer tray.

   Remove Display Metal Shield

   Gasp the metal bracket with precision tweezers and lift it off the board. Set it aside for reassembly.

    Disconnect Display Flex Cable

    Pry the display ribbon cable connector straight up off the motherboard using a plastic spudger. Remove the screen and place it on a soft surface.

    Remove Midframe Screws

    Remove the seventeen T3 Torx screws holding the internal midframe plate to the housing. Keep track of location-specific screw lengths.

    Unclip Midframe Assembly

    Insert a plastic pry tool along the outer edge of the midframe plate. Unsnap the retention clips and lift the midframe off the body.

    Disconnect Battery Connector

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex cable straight up off its socket. Ensure no metal tools touch the battery socket.

    Apply Battery Adhesive Remover

    Place a few drops of battery adhesive remover or isopropyl alcohol along the top and bottom edges of the battery. Wait 2 minutes to loosen adhesive.

    Pry Up Old Battery

    Slide a flat plastic opening card under the side of the battery. Gently lever upward to separate the battery from the phone housing.

    Remove Old Battery

    Lift the battery out of the phone frame. Wipe away leftover adhesive residue inside the chassis using isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply New Battery Adhesive

    Peel the backing off fresh adhesive strips and lay them into the battery compartment. Press down on the tape to firmly secure it to the frame.

    Install Replacement Battery

    Align the replacement battery in the compartment and press down firmly. Connect the battery flex cable into the motherboard connector.
