Safety
- Ensure the device is completely powered off before starting disassembly.
- Do not heat the rear panel above 80°C to avoid warping plastic or damaging the battery.
- Use light pressure when prying around internal components to prevent shorting the battery.

Step-by-step

Power off device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen.

Eject SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left frame and push inward to pop out the tray.

Heat rear cover
2 minApply heat with a heat gun or hair dryer along the back panel edges for two minutes to soften adhesive.

Attach suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover and pull upward to create a minor gap.

Insert opening pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap between the rear cover and the outer frame.

Slice perimeter adhesive
3 minSlide the pick around all four edges of the phone to slice through the remaining adhesive strip.

Lift off rear cover
1 minCarefully lift the rear plastic cover away from the main frame and set it aside.

Unscrew lower housing
2 minRemove the seven Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the frame.

Pry up speaker module
2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger beneath the edge of the plastic speaker cover and gently pry it loose.

Remove damaged speaker
1 minLift the old loudspeaker assembly out of its slot in the lower chassis using tweezers.

Install new speaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker module with the lower frame and press it firmly into position.

Fasten lower screws
2 minReinstall the Phillips #00 screws to secure the speaker module to the lower housing.

Apply back cover adhesive
3 minClean remaining glue with isopropyl alcohol and attach a fresh adhesive strip along the perimeter.

Reattach rear cover
2 minAlign the back cover over the chassis and press firmly along the edges to seal the adhesive.

Reinsert SIM tray
1 minSlide the SIM card tray back into the side slot until it sits flush with the frame.
