   Eject SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM ejector tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to eject the tray and pull it out.

   Heat rear panel

   Apply heat to the edges of the plastic back cover using a heat gun set to low heat for about 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach suction cup to back cover

   Press a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear panel and gently pull up to create a small gap near the USB-C port.

   Slice rear adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide it slowly around all four edges to sever the perimeter adhesive.

   Detach rear back cover

   Gently lift the back cover off the chassis. Set the rear panel aside.

   Unscrew motherboard shield

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the plastic upper motherboard shield in place.

   Pry off motherboard shield

   Insert a plastic spudger under the edge of the motherboard shield and lift it off the frame.

   Disconnect battery press connector

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pop the battery flex cable straight up off the motherboard socket.

   Unscrew loudspeaker module

   Remove the Phillips screws securing the bottom speaker housing assembly.

    Remove loudspeaker housing

    Pry up the loudspeaker assembly from the bottom of the frame using a spudger and set it aside.

    Disconnect display flex cable

    Unplug the main display ribbon cable connector from the bottom of the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

    Heat front display perimeter

    Apply heat evenly across the front screen bezels for 2 to 3 minutes to loosen the screen mounting adhesive.

    Separate screen glass from frame

    Place a suction cup on the front screen, pull upward, and insert a plastic pick between the glass display and the midframe.

    Lift away damaged screen

    Slice through the adhesive along the edges with opening picks, then carefully lift the screen and guide the flex cable through the frame slot.

    Scrape old frame adhesive

    Clean remaining glue remnants and glass bits off the frame ledge using isopropyl alcohol and a nylon spudger.

    Lay down display adhesive tape

    Apply narrow double-sided adhesive strips along the entire perimeter ledge of the front frame.

    Thread flex cable through frame

    Pass the display flex cable of the new screen panel through the slot in the front frame assembly.

    Seat new display in frame

    Align the replacement screen precisely over the frame perimeter and press it firmly into position.

    Reconnect internal flex cables

    Snap the display cable and the battery connector firmly back into their motherboard sockets.

    Reinstall internal bracket covers

    Place the loudspeaker module and top motherboard shield back into position, then tighten all reserved Phillips screws.

    Seal rear back cover

    Apply adhesive strips around the rear frame perimeter and press the rear cover back on until fully seated.
