Step-by-step

Eject SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the tray on the left frame. Remove the SIM card tray completely.

Heat rear panel edges
2 minApply a heat gun or heated pad around the edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive seal.

Attach suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower third of the rear glass cover and pull upward to create a slight gap.

Insert opening pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created between the rear panel and the plastic frame.

Slice rear panel adhesive
3 minGlide the opening pick along all four sides of the phone to cut through the perimeter adhesive tape.

Pull battery adhesive tabs
3 minLocate the exposed adhesive pull tabs and slowly pull them out at a flat angle parallel to the frame.

Pry out original battery
2 minInsert a flat plastic opening card beneath the battery edge and gently lever it out of the recess.

Clean chassis battery bay
2 minWipe away leftover adhesive residue and dried alcohol from the battery bay using a lint-free cloth.

Apply new battery adhesive
2 minApply new double-sided adhesive strips onto the back of your replacement battery.

Reconnect flex cables
