Eject the SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM tray on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray, then set it aside.

Unscrew the motherboard protective cover
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the upper plastic motherboard shield. Keep the screws grouped together for easy reassembly.

Remove the upper plastic cover
2 minGently insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the motherboard cover. Pry upward to unclip it from the frame and remove it.

Disconnect the battery flex cable

Install the new power button flex cable
3 minPeel off the protective adhesive backing on the replacement power button flex cable. Align the contacts properly and press the cable firmly into the frame slot.

Reconnect the power and battery flex cables
2 minAlign and press the power button cable connector onto its motherboard socket until it snaps in place. Reconnect the battery flex cable to restore connection.

Reattach the motherboard cover
3 minPlace the upper motherboard shield over the main board, snapping the plastic tabs into place. Fasten all Phillips #000 screws snugly.

Seal and attach the back cover
4 minApply a thin layer of B-7000 adhesive along the frame perimeter. Position the rear panel onto the phone frame and press firmly along the edges to seal.
