   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button on the right edge, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before beginning.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or small paperclip into the eject hole on the top edge of the phone. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then slide it out completely.

   Heat the front display perimeter

   Apply heat to the edges of the screen using a heat gun set to low for two to three minutes. Softening the adhesive under the glass makes screen removal easier.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a heavy-duty suction cup onto the lower portion of the front glass, just above the fingerprint sensor. Ensure it creates a tight seal against the screen.

   Pry open the bottom screen edge

   Pull up firmly on the suction cup handle to create a tiny gap between the glass and metal frame. Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice perimeter display adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick along the bottom and side edges of the phone to cut through the screen adhesive. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging internal ribbons.

   Pivot the display screen open

   Gently lift the screen assembly from the bottom edge like a book cover, rotating it upward toward the top edge. Do not pull the assembly free yet, as flex cables remain connected.

   Unscrew the display cable bracket

   Use a precision screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the metal display cable shield near the upper motherboard. Set the screw aside safely.

   Remove the connector shield

   Grasp the metal cable bracket with fine tweezers and lift it straight off the board. Store it with its corresponding screw.

    Disconnect the display flex cable

    Pry the display flex connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic opening tool. Free the old display assembly from the chassis.

    Detach the fingerprint sensor bracket

    Locate the small metal bracket covering the fingerprint sensor on the bottom back of the original display assembly. Gently pry the metal clip off using tweezers.

    Transfer the fingerprint sensor

    Apply light heat to loosen the fingerprint sensor adhesive, then carefully lift the sensor cable out using tweezers. Transfer and align it onto the new replacement display assembly.

    Clean old display adhesive from frame

    Scrape all remnants of old tape and glue from the outer ledge of the phone frame using a plastic opening tool. Wipe the area with isopropyl alcohol to ensure proper bonding.

    Apply pre-cut adhesive strips

    Align new display adhesive strips along the top, bottom, and side frame borders. Press them firmly into place and peel off the protective backing film.

    Connect the replacement display cable

    Hold the new display near the top of the frame and align its connector over the motherboard socket. Press down firmly until the connector snaps into place.

    Reinstall the connector bracket

    Position the metal shield back over the display connector and reinsert the securing screw. Tighten the screw until snug using your precision driver.

    Seat the new screen assembly

    Align the top edge of the screen assembly with the frame first, then lower the rest of the glass. Press firmly around the entire border to adhere the display to the frame.

    Reinsert the SIM card tray

    Align the SIM tray with its top slot and push it in smoothly until it sits flush against the outer casing.
