Power off the phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select 'Power off' to shut down the device completely.

Heat the screen perimeter
3 minApply a heat gun or iOpener around the front glass edges for two minutes to soften the display adhesive.

Attach a suction cup
2 minPlace a suction cup on the bottom portion of the glass and pull up firmly to create a small gap.

Insert an opening pick
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass display and the metal frame.

Slice the display adhesive
4 minGuide the pick slowly along all four edges of the screen to cut through the perimeter tape.

Pry open the display panel

Unhook the coaxial antennas
2 minCarefully pry up the head of the white and black coaxial antenna cables using precision tweezers.

Unscrew the logic board
2 minRemove the single Phillips #00 screw anchoring the bottom corner of the main logic board.

Lift out the logic board
3 minGrasp the logic board by the edges and tilt it up out of the rear frame to remove it.
