Step-by-step

Power off the Moto G41
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off to completely shutdown the phone.

Remove the SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject pin into the hole next to the tray on the left edge and push to eject it.

Heat the back cover
2 minApply a heat gun or hot air station to the outer edges of the rear panel for two minutes to soften the glue.

Insert an opening pick
2 minPlace a thin plastic pick between the back cover and the frame near the bottom seam.

Slice perimeter adhesive
3 minSlide the plastic pick carefully around all four edges of the back panel to detach it from the body.

Lift off the rear cover

Unscrew the lower speaker cover
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the lower loudspeaker cover.

Pry up the speaker cover

Disconnect the battery flex cable
1 minLever the battery connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a nylon spudger.

Remove the old loudspeaker
1 minUse tweezers to lift the loudspeaker assembly out of the lower chassis cavity.

Clean the contact pads
2 minDampen a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol and wipe off any dust or oxide from the gold spring contacts.

Install the new loudspeaker
2 minPlace the replacement loudspeaker unit into the bottom cavity, ensuring the contact pads align properly.

Reconnect the battery cable
1 minAlign the battery flex connector over its socket and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

Reinstall the speaker cover
3 minSet the lower speaker housing back into position and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws.

Apply new frame adhesive
2 minLay fresh double-sided adhesive strips along the perimeter edges of the phone frame.

Reattach the rear cover
2 minPress the rear panel firmly back onto the frame, applying steady pressure along all edges.

Reinsert the SIM tray
1 minSlide the SIM card tray back into the slot on the side of the device until flush.
