Heat Back Cover
2 minApply heat around the rear edges of the phone using a heat gun for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear panel and gently pull up to create a gap.

Slice Rear Adhesive
3 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slide it along the perimeter to release the plastic clips and tape.

Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor
2 minSlightly lift the rear panel and use a spudger to press off the fingerprint sensor flex connector.

Remove Motherboard Screws
3 minUnscrew the Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic upper motherboard shield.

Pry Out Battery
4 minInsert a flat plastic prying tool under the battery and carefully lift it until the adhesive separates.

Clean Battery Recess
2 minWipe away residual adhesive from the frame compartment using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

Apply New Adhesive
2 minPlace new battery adhesive strips onto the housing recess and peel away the protective film.

Install New Battery
2 minSet the replacement battery into the frame and press firmly to set the adhesive.

Reconnect Interconnect Cable
1 minAlign and press the main FPC interconnect flex cable back onto its motherboard socket.

Reconnect Battery Cable
1 minAttach the battery press connector straight down into its motherboard socket.

Secure Motherboard Shield
3 minPosition the upper motherboard shield and reinstall all the Phillips #00 screws firmly.

Attach Fingerprint Sensor
2 minHold the rear panel close to the frame and press the fingerprint reader flex cable onto the board.

Seal Back Cover
3 minApply new rear adhesive, align the back cover, and press firmly along the edges to seal the phone.

Reinsert SIM Tray
1 minPush the SIM card tray back into the slot on the side of the phone until flush.
